Host a Fund Raiser or a Friend Raiser
What is
the difference between a FUND RAISER and a FRIEND RAISER?
Both types of house parties are extremely important to the campaign!
Friend
Raiser
The purpose of the
SLATER FOR CONGRESS FRIEND RAISER
is to introduce Bruce to potential voters. Bruce is meeting people
everyday from every party and independents who want new
representation in the 16th District. Bruce speaks to their desire
for common sense and practical solutions for the problems facing our
nation.
Friend raisers for the
SLATER FOR
CONGRESS Campaign
are not meant to be fundraisers, necessarily, but they may lead to
future fundraisers by anyone attending. Friend-raising house parties
are being sponsored by individuals who have volunteered to help the
campaign but are not comfortable asking their neighbors and friends
for donations at this time.

Fund
Raiser
The purpose of the
SLATER FOR
CONGRESS FUND RAISER
is also to introduce Bruce to potential voters but should primarily
include attendees who are likely to contribute to the work of the
campaign. Fund raising house parties are being sponsored by
individuals who recognize that unseating an incumbent Congressman is
a very expensive endeavor. We need to introduce Bruce to
contributors who understand that and are prepared to help us with
the expenses of office overhead, advertising, and the essentials of
“Getting Out The Vote”.
Whether we like it or
not, just having the right man and the right message will not win us
this Congressional seat. Help bring representation back to the 16th
District by getting the word out to your friends and neighbors
that we
have a choice! His name is Bruce Slater and he’s ready to work for
us.
